It's pretty nuts to think that it's been 10 years since I put out Cosmic Lumberjack. I have done so much and grown so much as a songwriter and performer since then. I'm grateful to all of the friends and fans I've made along the way! In keeping with the true spirit of the first record I decided to record these songs quick and dirty. Unfortunately my tape recorder that I used on the first album has long since passed away. I recorded these songs on my Kyocera flip phone. Y'know, because I'm one of those Lo-Fi perverts. Thank you to everyone who has ever come to a show, listened to my music, or supported my musical ambitions in any way!

Afternoon Pancakes
I took exactly two guitar lessons from a jazz guitar instructor around the time my friends Zachariah and London got married. I wrote this song for them to play at their rehearsal dinner.

Generic Punk Song #5 (I Must Be The Bahamas Are Islands)
For anyone keeping track this is number five. Name Drop Soup from the first Deviant Monday record was originally titled Generic Punk Song #4 (Name Drop Soup), but was changed last minute for "political reasons".

It's 1993 this guys girl just left him and now he's singing this song. (Modeled after Kenworth Of My Dreams by Richard Shindell)

Billie Jean (Not My Lover Anymore)
During the worst of covid times I tried to write one song every week to keep me sane. This is the result of trying to write a Bluegrass song.

Church Mouse Shuffle
If you dance to the 12th step and it works for you that's great! I'm proud of you keep doing your best! I would never try to talk someone out of going to meetings . That being said I still think AA is a cult.

How Can We Know The Dancer From The Dance?
Another song a week project. This was my attempt to write a 90s Mountain Goats song. Thus the verbal timestamp at the beginning.

Faked My Death (Against The Giants)
Against The Giants is my favorite local band, and I'm proud to call them friends. They've had a couple different iterations of the band and they're all great. Their first record Harden Your Heart is a masterpiece and at the risk of being cliched and melodramatic it did in fact help save my life.
